One-time setup

Google sign-in needs a free Client ID that ties the button to your site. You make it once — no credit card.

  1. Open the Google Cloud credentials page and create a project.
  2. Set up the OAuth consent screen (pick External, add an app name and your email).
  3. Create an OAuth client ID → application type Web.
  4. Under Authorized JavaScript origins, add your site's address (your https://…netlify.app URL).
  5. Copy the Client ID (it ends in .apps.googleusercontent.com) and paste it below.

Stored in this browser only. The Client ID is meant to be public — it's safe in the page.
